Taught to lie to customers, who cares what happens after the sale. Make your $400 mini and get the next sucker. Rolling turds that are obviously going to break, that's good! More money for service to make money. Owner Michael is a joke who will never return your call. I

RIPPING PEOPLE OFF

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went in to buy a fifth wheel, put $1000 down and they have you sign a purchase agreement and do not show you the verbage on the back and do not give you any time to go over it with them. I told them I was going to have my own inspector go out and inspect the fifth wheel before I signed final papers on it and took delivery. They said ok.. My inspector found all kinds of things wrong with the unit and I told Holiday World League City I was not going to by the unit. They now will not refund my $1000, they just want to sell me another unit. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company because this is not right. They are ripping people off and trying to sell them units that are not up to par.

INTRODUCTION: WHEN I WAS IN TEXAS, I TRIED TO FIND A SPECIAIST OF HWH HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AT LAS CRUCES (I AM TRAVELING AND MY NEXT RESERVATION WAS IN LAS CRUCES AREA. SO, ON THEIR WEB SITE, I SAW THAT HOLIDAY W0RLD IS ONE OF THEIR MASTER SERVICE CENTER PROBLEMS -The hydraulic jacks and main slide out were not working. No electrical inputs First appointment scheduled for September the 24th -Diagnostic and repairs done. The electrical feed was disconnected back of the boards compartment (located just in front of the hydraulic system (pumps and solenoids). The electrical connections were reconnected. Hydraulics oils leaks were observed at the hoses connectors of the front slide out cylinder, located in the front compartment. 3 quarts of hydraulics oil were added to the system. Following the mechanics, the jacks and slide out were supposed to be functional. Arrived to the camping, the jacks were functionals but the slide out was not functional. In the same PM, I called at the garage to inform that my slide out was not functional. Au other appointment was scheduled Wednesday the 16th. Second appointment scheduled for September the 16th. -Service manager told me that they can’t make the repairs. Probably that the problem is due to one solenoid and one of the hydraulic cylinder. They have to order the parts. Following that, I decided to postpone my next camping reservation (Note that I was traveling). At my arrival to the camping, at the end of this day I observed: A large quantity of hydraulic oils on the floor of one of my compartment ( 3-4 pints)They didn’t clean it. The leaks from hoses connectors were not tighten. So, the oil continues to flow in the compartment. The plate giving access to the Pumps and solenoids, was not replaced AND THE MOST IMPORTANT, WAS THAT AT MY ARRIVAL AT THE CAMPING, I OBSERVED THAT THE EXTERIOR PANEL OF MY SLIDE OUT WAS DAMAGED. SEPTEMBER THE 17th, I WENT BACK TO THE MANAGER AND TOLD HIM MY OBSERVATIONS. ALSO I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS REALLY NOT HAPPY AND SATISFYIED. MORE NO BODY, INCLUDING THE MANAGER TALKED TO ME ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS. HIS ANSWERS WERE: WE CAN’T HAVE THE PARTS REQUESTED BEFORE A DELAY OF 4 WEEKS AND WE AREN’T RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMMAGES TO THE SLIDE OUT. THE DAMMAGES ARE DUES TO THE MAL FUNCTIONS OF THE SLIDE OUT. I ANSWERED THAT IT IS THEMSELVES THAT THEY TRIED TO OPEN THE SLIDE OUT. Robert Demers Cel: 418 563 **** Email: robert.demers@***.qc.ca

Strong arm sales Tactics

I agreed to purchase a travel trailer from holiday world and put down a sizable down payment while I went to get financing from my credit union. Holiday world of Katy Texas told me to fill out a credit app and we can try and get you a better rate for financing.I told them I don’t want the financing rate they offer it’s to high , they said it won’t hurt to try. They came back with a high rate that they thought was good and now if I don’t accept the financing they offer I forfeit my down payment because on their purchase agreement on the back it says if they get you an approval you forfeit your down payment if you don’t buy I told them that the rate was to high . They said it was an amazing rate and now are keeping my down payment. They are trying to strong arm you into completing a purchased at a high rate or forfeit your down payment . I will take them to court because the verbal agreements count also not just the hidden ones.

We disputed the charge with our credit card company. It took 4 months but the credit card company sided with us and reversed the charge.

Holiday World in Katy got nothing! It's worth a try!

My husband and I had the same exact experience with them. Unbelievable!

They must do this all the time. We knew we could get 3.75% with our credit union but they "insisted " we fill out a credit app and said they were certain they could get the same rate or better. We had a verbal agreement if they couldn't we were going to our credit union. Well their rate was 7.99% and they said that's a great rate.

Really? We both had over 800 credit scores which we already knew! So if we didn't finance with them we forfeited our deposit. They have you itinial the front of their app which then states this on the back in very tiny print.

Very sneaky and underhanded!

We are still in a dispute. Something needs to be done about their deceitful practices.

7.9 is a decent rate for a luxury item such as an RV. there is literally no way to finance an rv for 3.75.

Our credit union had a 3.75% rate with zero down at that time on new rv's. The term was shorter but the payment wasn't that much higher because of the rate.

Also we walked away from Holiday World in Katy and disputed the charge with our credit card company. We won our dispute and the charge was reversed.

Holiday World in Katy got nothing! Please don't talk about things that you obviously have no knowledge of.

Got ripped off

Traded in our 2007 grand junction, 7000 cash, and a golf cart for a 2006 monaco monarch, they were supposed to have it cleaned and ready for us to pick up on a friday, well we got it, it was filthy, the guy that did the walk through didnt know how to work half the stuff. They sold us a warranty with a 100 mile clause in it, so needless to say we have to take it to them, they dont know jack, they sub the job out after they couldny do the first work, the second time they had me find some one to do the job cuz they werent qualified for it, when we first got we took it back 4 days later, there was literally *** Under the toilet i cleaned and cleaned and finally saw where the stink was coming from, i made them replace the toilet and flange its neen a night mare, this isnt half of it, what they got paid by the warranty to fix never got fixed!!

I called warranty people and told them job wasnt done, called holiday world about it, ha haa they want me to take it again to have the work done again, motel rooms comming out of my pocket this is my home!! These people want me to text them when ever i need to get ahold of them, not call, I still call, Annalisa is the only one there i will speak to, her manager is a jerk, he doesn't look to see who is around before he starts talking smack about the customers meaning me, theres a lot more to much to type

Deplorable Service

I have now purchased 2 RV’s from Holiday World of Katy. Most recently, I took delivery of a 2018 Keystone Cougar fifth wheel in July of 2017. While the sales department did a reasonably good job in front of the sale, the service department has been and continues to be truly deplorable. Let me explain the latest fiasco. My wife and I took a 5000 mile round trip to Niagara Falls arriving home on May 3rd. The last 3 nights of our trip we were without cable TV. When this occurred, I tried to self-diagnose the problem without success. I called the office of the KOA that we were staying at to see if it was their problem. They brought out a portable TV and hooked it up to their cable outlet and it worked fine. So the problem was in our unit somewhere. Upon our return, I called Holiday World of Katy and was told that the first available appointment would be June 14th. So I waited the 5 plus weeks and brought it in on the morning of the 14th. The Service Advisor wrote it up and I was off. After several weeks I attempted to get a hold of the advisor or someone in service. Three times I called with no one answering, so I left voice mail messages. No response. I emailed the advisor twice. No response. Finally, someone answered the phone and said that she would have him call me. He did call and told me that they had not looked at it yet. This was 4 weeks after my appointment. Another week went by and I received a call from the advisor stating that the technician could find no problem. When I asked if I could come down and confirm that in fact the cable was working, I was told that they do not have cable access. In other words, there was no way for me to see if the technician was correct or not. After talking with several advisors, I was advised that I could pick up the unit on 7/26/2018. I was told again that there was no problem with the cable, and as a result I was charged $74.50 for the time that they spent on the problem. When I attempted to leave, I found that I could not connect the Anderson hitch because Holiday World used a ball and fork lift to move the unit. This caused the pin in the Anderson connection to become bent and would not operate. After 2 hours a technician drilled and filed enough so that the pin would operate. In the meantime, the Service Manager came out with NO apologies, but rather informed me that if I ever brought this unit back in for any kind of service, I would either need to remove the Anderson connection before coming in or leave my truck so that they could use it to move my unit around. After this, he turned and walked away. WOW!!! What great public relations. By the way, I purchased the Anderson hitch and accessories from Holiday World when I purchased the fifth wheel. I finally left, totally disgusted and angry, and went to an RV park nearby to test my cable TV. Surprise! Surprise! Cable still not working. So, I waited 5 weeks for an appointment, and then nearly 7 weeks to be told that I didn’t have a problem which I still have. Plus, I’m $74.50 out of pocket!! I will be contacting Keystone to let them know of my experience and to find another dealer where I can hopefully receive some credible service. Additionally, I plan to place this online so that others can be aware of what kind of potential problems they may have.

Never again!

We bought a $90,000 5th wheel from Katy Holiday World. Have nothing but problems from the start. Had it only 3 years & both couches have totally peeled away! Called mgr. 15 times, would not take Calls & would not return my call. Montana would do nothing! Referred me to manufacturing Co. of couches & they only offered a small discount to buy new couches. Will never buy from Holiday World or purchase a Montana unit again. Stay away from them! Will not stand behind their sales at all. Sad First time out, slide out broke!! Lights on door quit working. Repaired 4 times, stilldon’t Work. Back window popped out. Microwave quit working.

Stay away

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE, HERE’S WHY:

I should have listened to the other reviews about he finance department in this place; then I would not be posting this on here.

We were looking for a Grand Design 5th Wheel with specific specifications, so we ended up at Camping World first, then this place.

I had the RV I want at Camping World, the loan was approved, trade in was approved, paperwork was ready for us to sign, and we were set to drive our new RV off the lot. Then, I decided to shop around a bit more and I found a similar Grand Design next door at Holiday World RV of Katy, so we decided to drive there.

We got greeted by a friendly sales person, Brandon, and he showed us around. He had a vast amount of knowledge, he listened to what his clients wants and needs were and delivered on it.

Based on my experience with Brandon, I decided to transfer the financing over to Holiday World RV and give him the sale.

After submitting all the paperwork, I got linked with Sheldon, the finance guy. Mind you, I was already approved at Camping World for the same exact amount on the loan.

Sheldon was unprofessional in his responses- he rarely replied to my emails and phone calls, he asked for WAY too much paperwork to do the same exact thing as Camping World finance did.

Then, things got even more unprofessional. After being fed up with Sheldon’s lack of communication, we drove to the Holiday World RV in Katy, TX to figure out what’s going on.

Sheldon was busy, so we waited in the lounge area for about 30 minutes, even though the person who Sheldon was talking to left the office a few minutes after we got there.

Sheldon came over to the lounge area, sat next to us on the table and started talking finance. I was shocked! In the lounge area were at least 7-8 other customers waiting for various reasons, so he made sure to raise his voice while talking down to me. I let it slide the first time, but he repeatedly proceeded to disrespect me and my knowledge in finance (I work in finance, especially loan processing and fulfillment). Then, Sheldon proceeded to state they can’t finance me cause I am self-employed.

So my significant other and I took a minute to discuss the situation and we decided to add her on to the loan since she has a “job” and is more traditional in her ways of earning income. That’s when Sheldon dropped the biggest lie i have yet to hear.

Sheldon asked if we were married I stated, “No we’re not.” Then he proceeded to say this:

“Ohh that would have to be approved by our owner, we only loan to married couples”

I got up and left.

Brandon asked me how did things went, I explained to him what happened and he wanted me to wait to talk to his manager, I agreed.

Then, things got even MORE UNPROFESSIONAL. I see this guy coming from around the corner with a *** grin on his face, wearing khaki jeans, a button up shirt with the top two buttons open yet the tie covers them and greasy hair beyond repair. His name was Joe.

Joe didn’t even introduce himself. He proceeded to ask, “What’s the problem here?” I explained to him what’s going on but Joe wouldn’t stop cutting me off as I am patiently trying to recap the last hour. I asked Joe if I could speak now and his response was, “Go ahead, but be careful.” I asked Joe to repeat what he said because I wasn’t believing what I was as hearing. He repeated it with a chest bump and a macho man attitude all while waving his hands in my face. I decided not to waste time with Joe and walked away.

Buyer beware

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I do not recommend paying for anything in cash with this RV seller. The moment I pad for my travel trailer the service department stopped honoring their so called guarantee and parked my trailer in the parking lot. I was asked to pay for the travel trailer so Holiday World could count my cash purchase as part of their end of the month sales with a Promise they would the things wrong with the hnit. The moment I paid them was the moment they didn’t care or Honor the agreement. Do not trust these people and do not give them any money without everything being fixed. Their used RV guarantee is a sham and not true.
